Irresistible Tresses

October 2, 2015

Hair is something that most women value and take much pride in. It’s also something that can change your look and allow you to feel like a completely different person…when done correctly.

Since middle school, I’ve always heard comments about my hair – mostly compliments or people unknowingly asking me if I am mixed race because of the body and texture of my hair. Because of these comments, I began to take extra care with my hair (watching the amount of heat I use to ensure that it doesn’t get damaged and using only hair products approved by my stylist). I wanted my hair to stay healthy and I didn’t want to risk messing it up by trying anything new.

Over the years, I have tried coloring my hair twice (one time damaged my hair!) and hair extensions twice (which also caused damage because I left them in too long). Since then, I have given my hair a break to recover, not coloring or adding extensions. However, I’ve been wanting to try something different with my style – instead of my usual “Lob.”

That is why I was elated when I was contacted by “Irresistible Me” Hair to try their clip-in hair extensions! There aren’t many hairstyles you can try with a “Lob,” and getting sew-in extensions had proven to be a bad choice for me in the past.

Irresistible Me is a line of 100% Human Remy hair available in clip-in extensions and full lace wigs. I chose to try out the “Royal Remi” clip-in extensions in “Royal Chocolate Brown (#2)”, I was able to choose the length and weight of the extensions (which I knew nothing about)! Luckily one of the representatives, Blair, helped me determine that 20 inches in 200 grams would be best for me.

The extensions arrived in two weeks in the cutest little box!

I immediately had my good friend and fellow fashion/beauty blogger, Chinaza Moses (www.beautybetweenthelines.com) cut and layer the extensions and place them to compliment my hair. They blended perfectly (or at least as close as it can get!).

Their arrival was perfect timing because New York Fashion Week had just began, and I was able to play around with different styles and add a little va-va-boom to my hair with the extra volume! 🙂

I have had my clip-in extensions for about 2 weeks now and I have worn them every 2-3 days before taking them out for a day to give my hair a break. I love that I have the ease of removing them and replacing whenever I want! I have noticed that they get tangled a little, but not a lot! I also washed them after a week and a half with conditioner to see how well they would hold up. They are still going strong and great!

I wore them to a wedding this past weekend. I was inspired by a hair style worn by Michelle Obama to a recent state dinner, and I was super excited that I had my clip-ins to help me achieve the look. With the help of a little mousse and TRESemme holding spray, my hair lasted through a night of partying and dancing like a mad woman! 🙂

Overall, I would totally recommend “Irresistible Me” clip-in hair extensions! They not only allowed me to switch up my look and play around with different styles to compliment my outfits, but I was also able to keep my hair healthy and strong by taking them out whenever needed to protect my own hair. The hair quality is great and the color options easily matched my medium-dark brown hair!

      Thanks girl! 🙂

The price depends on the hair length. The specific hair that I’m wearing (royal remi) starts at $97 for 14 inches. But there is also another option (silky) that starts at $59 for 14 inches!

Check out the website (irresistibleme.com) for more info and to see how much the length you want will cost! 🙂
