Long time no see (3 weeks to be exact)! I’ve missed you…and blogging! Between work and New York Fashion Week, my schedule has been super busy for the past couple of weeks. But, now that Fashion Week is over and things are beginning to settle down I am super excited to share my favorite shows that I attended during the week, as well as my looks for each day! Keep your eyes peeled to the blog, because I will be posting show reviews and style diary throughout the week.
During New York Fashion Week F/W 2015, I attended 12 shows/presentations. Although the overall atmosphere of this season’s Fashion Week seemed a bit off to me (which could have been caused by the arctic weather during the week), the designs that sashayed down the catwalk were nothing less than amazing. Of all of the collections that I viewed, my absolute favorite show was Naeem Khan! 🙂
Celebrating his 10 year anniversary of shows at New York Fashion Week, Naeem Khan made a statement with his F/W 2015 collection. He described it as the “Modern women who lives in a timeless world of classic beauty.” From beaded gowns and jewel encrusted rompers to women tuxedo’s and embellished jumpsuits, Khan’s collection was a scene of red-carpet ready designs and show-stopping pieces. I believe these designs could be worn by various celebrities during award show season, and even some notable singers during performances. The deep-v black and white jumpsuit (minus the jacket) could be worn by Beyoncé during a performance (refer to last pic in this post), while the deep-v floral dress would look amazing on Kerry Washington or Lupita Nyong’o on the red carpet.
The main colors seen throughout this collection were gold, silver, white/black and a bit of coral in the flowered dresses. It would be safe to say that I loved every single piece that came down the runway in this show! Khan truly thought about the celebs when making this collection, so I can’t wait to see the first spotting of his pieces on the red-carpet in the coming months. 🙂
Take a peek at a few of my favorite looks that came down the runway!
