So in the past 24 hours I have basically been on a blogging binge! I never knew how much I missed writing these past few weeks until I started to catch up on my post and literally couldn’t stop typing! I went from planning to write one post to adding a extra 3 post! I kept saying to myself “Oh, I need to show them that look!” and “I cant forget to tell them about that trunk show!”. I think I may be all caught up at this point, but I couldn’t let you go another week without sharing my patriotic look from Fourth Of July.
I was inspired by the American Flag of course, but I didn’t want to be so literal in my look by wearing a flag. I decided upon wearing my patriotic colors and sealing the look with my signature red lip.

This past week I had the pleasure of attending the Rebecca Minkoff Fall 2015 Trunk Show at the New York boutique located in Soho. Upon walking into the boutique I was greeted with warm smiles by two employees who asked me if I wanted to enter a raffle to win a awesome Rebecca Minkoff mini backpack, which I did. Keep me in your prayers that I win!! 🙂
As I made my way past the caterers who were serving champagne & Rebecca Minkoff bottled water, and around the artist who was sketching personalized pictures of each guest that made a purchase, I finally saw the collection. From fringed jackets & dresses to embossed leather clutches and wide-brim fedoras. It was a downtown girl’s fashion dream!
I was able to chat with Rebecca Minkoff, the host of the event, to find out a little bit more about the collection. She informed me that her inspiration for the Fall Collection came from a book by Patti Smith titled “Just Kids”. “It’s a great read, I encourage you to check it out! Once you begin to read it you’ll definitely understand how my collection ties back to the book”, says Rebecca.
The collection definitely gave off a 1960’s New York vibe, which is the era the designer was going for. I could definitely see myself adding EVERYTHING from this collection into my fall wardrobe, especially the fringed high-heel booties & jacket!
Check out a recap of my evening below along with my look! 🙂

Recently I took a trip to Soho to check out “The Creative Corner Fashion Pop-Up” hosted by blogger/fashion stylist Vanessa Lundy. It took place at the Conartist Gallery NYC and included 5 vendors that showcased their brands. From Jewlery, to menswear loafers and even women’s leather harnesses & skirts. Each brand brought their own unique merchandise to showcase and introduce to the world.
I was invited by a friend to this event and didn’t quite know what to expect, the flyer did not give much information about the vendors. I was definitely surprised and captured by the talent of each designer/brand. I wasn’t able to get pictures of all of the merchandise shown, but I did receive the information for each brand. Make sure to keep these names on your fashion radar and follow them on Instagram!

It’s been awhile since you’ve last seen me. Summer is in full effect and I have been on the go! But no worries, I am super excited to catch you up on what’s been going on since my last post! I recently turned 25 years old on July 13th, which was very exciting! 🙂 I’ve also been working on a few new styling projects that I can’t wait to see the results of! My summer has been off to a great start so far and I look forward to it having an epic ending!
Last week I took a trip to the Dream Hotel in the Meatpacking District with a few friends for a pool party called “#SwimRoot”. Music, Inflatable Pool Food, & Palm Trees were the scene. It was the perfect summer city beach equipped with sand, a cabana bar and a photo booth (because everyone has a photo shoot once they get out of the pool, obvi!).
It was a great kick-off to my birthday weekend, and I had to share my look with you all! I paired my new favorite sheer jacket seen in my last post (because I literally like to wear it with everything now!) with my leopard print bikini top, Safari shorts & brim hat. I’d like to think that my safari mixed print look was the perfect poolside attire! 🙂
** I’m clearly not the only person who likes to wear my hat in the pool**
