The Test Of TimeΒ

June 30, 2016

A woman’s hair is to be cherished! It’s our crown and has the ability to change your look dramatically when altered!

Last year, I partnered with the awesome folks at “Irresistible Me” to try their 100% human hair clips. It was my first time using hair clips and I was super excited because I was looking for a better alternative to sew-in weave. After only one month of using the clips I was in love with them! Read here about my thoughts from my previous post! I knew that my hair had found its match, and that for the next 3-6 months (the usual life of hair clips) my crown would be snatched! Lol πŸ™‚

However, what I didn’t expect was that today, 9 MONTHS LATER, my hair clips would still be going strong! I can honestly say that my clips are still as strong today as they were when I first received them! The only difference I’ve noticed is that the color of the hair is slightly lighter, which is probably because I was in the sun more during the spring and early summer months. This actually works great for blending with my hair because my natural hair color tends to change colors when I am in the sun. I’ve also noticed that a few of the 12 clips have some split ends, which is due to using heat on the hair when using my flat iron. These are normal changes that have not negatively affected the overall look of my hair clips.

What I love most is that I’m able to keep the strength and vibrance of my real hair when wearing them. I also have the versatility of taking them out to allow my hair the opportunity to “breathe” whenever I want! I usually wear them for about two weeks, but I give my hair a break a few days in between. I also take out the largest clip when I sleep to make sure that it doesn’t put too much pressure on my hair.

I’ve recommended the clips to many people that have asked about my hair, as well as six of my girlfriends. Each of the women purchased their own set of clips and have had only great things to say about their new hair!

I’ve experienced amazing results and have heard great reports from others regarding “Irresistible Me” hair clips, so I HAD to give you all a follow-up report of my hair journey! I think it’s safe to say that I am a “Irresistible Me” BELIEVER !! πŸ™‚

Check out my hair journey below!

I’m riding this hair wave until it wipes out and you should too! To take your crown to the next level, head over to IrresistibleMe to order your clips now!

Love is the AnswerΒ

June 13, 2016

Isn’t love a beautiful thing?! It has the power to bring people happiness, comfort and peace. It looks past the mistakes and shortcomings in others and continues to see the beauty of someone’s heart without judgement. Within the past week I’ve become obsessed with the concept of love and searched for new ways to spread and display it! When I first started my study of ways to show more love, I thought that it would be fun and exciting! Within two days I quickly realized that spreading love isn’t just something that involves unicorns and rainbows, it truly takes hard work and determination.

Have you ever had a co-worker that always seemed to wake up on the wrong side of the bed and was determined to make EVERYONE in the office aware of it?! Or, what about when you turn on the news and hear that yet another senseless hate crime/murder has occurred and was caused by someone with hate in their heart towards a certain race/gender/class of people. These are prime opportunities to spread love, although it seems like in those moments it is the last thing that we want to do.

Love is an act of selflessness. It involves pushing the wants of your mind aside to serve a bigger purpose that you may not even understand at the moment. You must trust that when you give your gift of love to others a shift in the atmosphere will occur and cause a change, even if you aren’t around to witness it. In those moments, we are planting seeds of hope that may fully bloom in one week or 10 years. Dr. Martin Luther King is a perfect example. He believed that through love all races would one day come together and live in a world that doesn’t judge people based on the color of their skin. He planted a seed in faith, but didn’t live to see it make its full bloom. Although we’re not there yet, the seed has been planted and is blooming.

Today I challenge you to push your current state of thinking aside. It may be hard for you to do, but take all of the anger that you have inside of you and dispose of it on your way out the door. Make today the day that you go the extra mile to show love to everyone, regardless of whether you feel that they deserve it or not. In doing so, you are making a change in the world. Even if you don’t live to see the rose that will come from it, make a beautiful bouquet for the lives of those coming after you! πŸ™‚

Trailblazer : A person who makes a new track through wild country; a pioneer; an innovator.Β

Hey Lovies!

Have you ever found yourself trying to become a better you or to grow into the calling God has given you, only to look at others who seem to already be blossoming in their callings? We’ve all been there – me included. However lately, I have been learning about the beauty of trailblazing. It’s something that requires a lot of humbleness and lonely moments, but it’s destined to launch you into greatness!

Many are called, but few are chosen to live a life that is set apart from the rest. If you are one of the few (and you most likely are if you’re reading this post), then life as you know it can’t be average. You won’t be able to mimic someone else’s journey because it won’t bring you the same results. You’ll also find yourself in a more confused and lost state than before you even tried. In order to succeed you must find out what your purpose is through prayer and make your way down that path. If there isn’t an existing path/opportunity for what you are called to do, make one! Many times, we give up on the ideas that have been sitting in our minds for years simply because we have never seen them done before. We categorize them as just another crazy daydream when they are actually a part of our assignment. The only reason that your idea hasn’t been done yet is because it is within God’s plan for YOU to create it!

If you’re already on your way to blazing your own trail, you may have come across a few of these obstacles during your journey: doubt, fear, letting go of things that must be done YOUR way (for God’s way), and moments that you feel like you’re out on a plank by yourself (sink or swim). These feelings are all perfectly normal, and mean that you are in the right position to fully depend on God to get through this chapter, which can be SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE!

My challenge to you is to make today the day that you choose your own path. Carve your way down a path that only YOU can travel. Refuse to use others lives as a standard for your journey and instead trust solely on God and His blueprint for your life! πŸ™‚
