Season Change

April 19, 2017

Hey lovies!

One month ago there was a change that occurred in the United Sates. Our season shifted from winter to spring! Although we can hardly feel the physical difference, our calendar tells us that we are midway through pollen season. One day after this changed occurred another season shifted, but its effects were truly felt, because the changed occurred in my life! πŸ™‚

For the past ten months God has truly been working on my faith and preparing me for something that I have yet to discover. I have been asked to step out on faith on numerous occasions with my only safety net being my full reliance on him, I have felt more uncomfortable than comfortable, and I have lost count of how many times I have asked God “WHY?!”. But through it all he has been crazy faithful and so full of grace and mercy! He has given me more reasons than not to love him more than my issues and miniscule problems. <3 This love was translated into gratefulness on March 21st, 2017 when I woke up to start my first day at a new job that God blessed me with! Everything felt different on that beautiful Tuesday morning and I feel like I have been riding on a cloud ever since. I have witnessed prayers and goals that I have written down start to unfold before my eyes in my personal and spiritual life! NONE of these blessings have come in the form that I expected them to come in, but nonetheless I am so beyond grateful to God for opening them and showing me that his ways are better than mine! πŸ™‚

I have learned from this season change that trusting in God is not merely for your benefit, but for God’s amazing blessings to be displayed through your life for his glory! So if you’re in your season of “why?!”, know that your season change may not always be displayed in a way that you expect, but it will definitely be felt in a way that is undeniable! πŸ™‚

Tadashi Shoji Spring/Summer 2015

September 15, 2014

Tadashi Shoji debuted his Spring/Summer 2015 collection on September 4, 2014 at Lincoln Center. The collection was inspired by a Golden Palace located in Ca’d’Ora, Venice. The reflection of the palace on the water bought his designs to life.

This vision was clearly seen in Tadashi’s models as they sashayed down the runway in whimsical lace and chiffon gowns, detailed with mesh inserts and bell-sleeves. My eyes were literally glued with amazement of all the patterns, prints and detailing of each design. From the long white accordion skirts, to baby blue lace dresses, and a black lace crop top…my heart was given an extra beat with each look! I especially loved Shoji’s modern day re-make of the classic trench coat. Β He opted out of khaki, and went for white lace instead (YESSS!!)

This collection was definitely the most captivating, and one that I predict will be seen on a few celebrities during the award show season.Β It can truly be summed up in one word: STUNNING! I commend Tadashi on a job well done! πŸ™‚

Lace Adventures

April 24, 2014

Hey Loves!

Happy Thursday! I hope that you all are having an amazing week so far and that this upcoming weekend brings you many fab style moments! πŸ™‚

This week is the conclusion of my Greensboro shoot that I did while back in my home state of North Carolina a couple of weeks ago. Of course, this week included another adventure just as every other blog shoot that I have done, and even a few moments of living life on the edge.Β While shooting this look, my good friend/amazing photographer, Najah Cobb and I went to multiple sites in downtown Greensboro to explore and to play around with the scenery. From a staircase at a downtown restaurant/brewery calledΒ “Natty Greene’s”, to a random back alley and even a beautiful waterfall tucked away in a park. It was so much fun to walk around and take in the beauty of the city. Β I even got a little dirty while taking a mini hike through grass and dirt inclines in the park to uncover the waterfall (it was hidden under a bridge).Β Overall it was a fun day of style and new discoveries which made it an awesome time πŸ™‚

My look for the day was a fun, feminine yet casual look.Β I paired a printed bomber jacket with lace shorts and a sheer green button up,Β the look was finished off with a black pointed toe pumps and mirrored sunglasses.

This look was shot at “Natty Greene’s”, a restaurant/brewery in downtown Greensboro. We were on the staircase on the outside eating area of the restaurant. So yeah, we were just shooting above people while they were eating and taking in the sights (with the permission of management, of course!) lolΒ

At one point I wanted to go to the other side to see an amazing graffiti panting that someone did on the walls. But the the only way to get to the other side was to cross the river by stones so.......lol :)

New York Fashion Week 2014- Street Style Edition

February 10, 2014

Hey loves!

New York Fashion Week is in full swing here in the Big Apple, and I am completely fired up about it! It’s something about the energy of being in Upper West Side during Fashion week, and seeing celebrities, fashion editors and other fellow fashion bloggers making their style statements outside of the infamous Lincoln Center Tents that puts a huge smile on my face! The city literally turns into a endless catwalk on every corner with sights such as sky high metallic stilettos, sheer pants, unique jewelry hand-pieces and a bundle of fur thrown over just about everyone’sΒ shoulders.Β

Although I have attended a few presentation and shows so far that I have enjoyed (reviews will be in a forthcoming post), my favorite part of the entire Fashion Week experience is the Street Style!

I love to take pictures and be inspired by looks that catch my attention… so this past weekend I took full advantage during my free time to snap a few shots of a few people who’s style and outfit detailing caught my eye!

Take a gander at the looks below and let me know what stylish outfits stood out to you!
